About Us
David G. Wood, Attorney
With nearly 30 years of experience as an attorney and businessman, David is a trusted advisor for: business owners, professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, retirees, and young families. He helps his clients protect what matters most from creditors and predators.
David’s career path gives him a unique understanding of the challenges faced by professionals and entrepreneurs. As a young attorney, he worked at a financial advisory firm, assisting clients with financial planning, business structuring, and estate planning. He went on to manage and then own a large, award-winning, asset recovery firm for a decade before a merger/acquisition. For six years he operated the asset protection and estate planning firm Plan Right Law before joining York Howell.
David has assisted clients with transactional work in Asia and Latin America. He has a deep understanding of small business, asset protection, and tax planning. He's been involved in several start-ups. His experience allows him to see a client’s situation from both sides of the table – as a legal advisor and as a business owner who has navigated the complexities of growth and risk.

Chelsie Poulsen, Paralegal
Chelsie joined David in 2023 as a paralegal and made the move to York Howell. Before that she had worked in high-level administrative and director positions. This is the second time in her career that Chelsie has worked with David. Chelsie focuses on document production and has exceptional drafting skills.
Gabriella Robertson, Legal Assistant
Gabriella joined David's practice, Plan Right Law, in 2023. She moved with him to York Howell. Gabriella heads up client relations and workshops, and is often the first point of contact with David's team. She has excellent personal relationship skills and also assists with work production. She is a Political Science major at Utah State University.
